Mappa Burl is an eye-catching and exotic wood prized for its chaotic, cloud-like burl figure, which creates stunning, organic patterns across each slab. Sourced from the European Black Poplar (Populus nigra), this wood is formed when the tree develops clusters of swirling grain due to natural stress or growth irregularities. The result is a slab full of visual movement — with tones ranging from creamy beige to soft grey, and occasional knots or bark inclusions that add rich character. Ideal for statement tabletops, wall panels, and art furniture, Mappa Burl is truly one of a kind.
