The Stool Workshop
Build a solid mahogany stool from raw timber with our fully guided, four-hour woodworking workshop.
About the Workshop
Build a real stool from rough, raw timber in one fully guided Saturday session. Over four hours you'll take rough African mahogany and turn it into a finished piece of furniture using the same techniques behind every solid wood build, squaring stock on the thicknesser, cutting to size on the table saw, gluing up a solid seat panel, cutting interlocking box joints on a jig, then shaping, sanding and hand-finishing with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil. You'll walk out with a finished solid mahogany stool (30 × 36 cm seat, ~42 cm high), built by you and taken home the same day, plus the understanding to look at raw timber and see furniture. What's Included: • All materials: African mahogany, premium Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C finish • All tools and equipment, fully supervised at every step • Earplugs and masks provided • Your finished stool, ready to take home Who It's For: • Absolute beginners, zero woodworking knowledge required. • Ages 16 and up.
